Strengthening the External Services Area of CPK – Use of Reinforced Concrete Slabs

A few weeks ago, our offer was selected to carry out work related to the ground strengthening of the external services area of the Central Communication Port in Buszyce, in the Grodzisko municipality. The project included comprehensive site preparation, including earthworks, soil reinforcement injection, and the installation of reinforced concrete slabs covering a total area of 930 m².

The solution implemented aimed to create a durable surface that can withstand intensive use by technical vehicles and equipment servicing the CPK infrastructure. Reinforced concrete slabs are one of the most durable solutions used both in temporary technological roads and in permanent maneuvering area constructions.

Logistical Challenges and the Need for Road Plates

The implementation of this investment was associated with several key challenges:

  • Ground stabilization – the area was to be intensively used by heavy vehicles, which required proper surface protection.
  • Soil protection against degradation – the existing ground needed reinforcement to prevent settling or surface cracking under heavy loads.
  • Durability and resistance to weather conditions – the area needed to ensure trouble-free use for many years, so it was crucial to use materials resistant to wear and changing weather conditions.
  • Time efficiency – the project had to be completed within a specified timeframe, which required efficient slab installation and rapid ground hardening.

For this reason, it was decided to use reinforced concrete slabs, which are ideally suited for such applications, both as a permanent solution and a temporary solution available for rental for short-term investments.
