Rock for People is one of the biggest music festivals in Europe, and the 2026 edition has once again confirmed its position. Over 230,000 attendees, more than 130 artists on stage — including Gorillaz, Limp Bizkit, Bring Me The Horizon, and Iron Maiden. This is yet another year in which the organizers trusted our solutions to secure the festival grounds.
12,000 m² of event space
For the festival, we supplied nearly 12,000 m² of various types of surfaces and ground protection systems. Heavy Deck worked particularly well — throughout the five days of the festival, even during above-average rainfall, it ensured that attendees could move around the site safely and comfortably.
A multi-day festival, with tens of thousands of people moving at the same time between stages, food areas, and tent fields, is an extreme load for any type of surface — and rain only makes things worse. Without proper protection, the grounds turn into mud, and comfort and safety for participants drop dramatically.
Why Heavy Deck works well at festivals
