Technical Road for Netflix Production
Have you watched the series “Heweliusz” yet? If not, we highly recommend it—especially since we were involved in this production. The domestic production by Telemark, directed by Jan Holoubek, is conquering Netflix, and we were responsible for securing the area for one of the stunt scenes. The film set was located on the agricultural fields of SGGW / Warsaw University of Life Sciences, where it was necessary to create a stable access road for heavy production vehicles.
The natural terrain was soft, sometimes marshy, and completely unsuitable for heavy equipment traffic. Without the rental of road plates, the film equipment would not have been able to enter, and the scene itself could have been in jeopardy.
Why Rental Road Plates Were Needed
Film productions work at a fast pace, and every delay incurs real costs. In the case of “Heweliusz,” the challenge was to bring heavy technical vehicles onto terrain that under normal conditions wouldn’t even support a delivery van. The ground needed protection, immediate access was necessary, and the area had to be prepared for the crew to set up structures, lighting, and equipment for the stunt shot.
Therefore, temporary roads turned out to be the only sensible solution.

For the production, we laid aluminum plates Alu Deck HD. This model works great on film sets—it’s lightweight, withstands heavy loads, and allows for quick preparation of a passable route.
For this project, we created over 120 meters of technical road and a maneuvering area for heavy film equipment.

How Road Plates Helped with the Stunt Scene
The road plates provided the crew with full logistical control. Every production, lighting, and technical vehicle could freely enter the SGGW terrain. The surface was stable, safe, consistent, and weather-resistant. Thanks to this:
– the stunt scene could be prepared with centimeter accuracy,
– technical equipment never got stuck,
– the area remained undisturbed,
– production ran according to schedule,
– nothing disrupted the filming of the “Heweliusz” series.
